Around Yu Kiroro, there are several excellent golf courses which take advantage of the area's natural terrain. Both A-Brand Golf Club and Sasson Golf Club are located in easy reach by car from the hotel, and both offer impressive views along and are suitable for all levels of golfers.
A-Brand Golf Club
A strategic course that is majestic and beautiful, with a panoramic view of Yoichi Bay and reminds you of Scotland!! Only 30 mins from Yu Kiroro by car.
The wonderful course offers views of the sea and mountains, with spacious fairways allowing you to swing your driver with all your might. We highly recommend the 7th hole, a 440-yard middle hole. With an exhilarating downhill drive, even 300 yards is not just a dream. For the second shot, it's best to attack from the front to avoid going over.
After the round, you can relax and sweat it out in the public bath, followed by a spell in the sauna and a delicious beer!

Sasson Golf Club
Sasson Golf Club is a unique destination in Hokkaido, where it serves as a golf course during the summer and transforms into a ski resort during the winter. During your round, you'll come across ski lifts in various spots, which might make you yearn for some skiing even while playing golf. Another peculiar aspect is that this course has a par of 71, featuring one more short hole and one less middle hole compared to the typical setup. Perched on a highland, the golf course offers breathtaking views of Otaru's cityscape below and the distant peaks of Mashike. The play style is quite casual, with a self-play system using navigated carts.
One particularly recommended hole is the 16th middle hole. Exercise caution to avoid going out of bounds to the right during your full swing. The second shot provides the enjoyable experience of a downhill approach, as if hitting the ball into the sea. It's worth noting that the ladies' tees are set quite forward, leading to an increase in women achieving scores below 100.
After your game, you can enjoy exploring Otaru's tourist attractions or take a glimpse of the local market, which adds to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
