# Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery

Located in Yoichi, Hokkaido, the Nikka Yoichi Distillery was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, known as the father of Japanese whisky.

Surrounded by rich nature, clean air, and a cool climate similar to that of Scotland, the distillery was carefully chosen for its environment. Traditional methods, including coal-fired distillation, are still preserved to this day.
